It was listed as Korea's 2015th World Heritage Site in 12 in recognition of Baekje's unique culture, religion, and artistic beauty through the selection of capital sites, Buddhist temples, tombs, and stone pagodas of the Three Kingdoms, which are distributed in Gongju, Buyeo, and Iksan, North Jeolla Province.
Gongju (Woongjin period), Buyeo (Sabi periodi), and Iksan were the sites of Baekje's royal capital or fortress during the Three Kingdoms Period.
