If you walk straight up the path of the Buddhist Temple Wall between Choryang Elementary School and Choryang Church, the first church established in Korea south of the Han River in Seoul in 1892, you will arrive at the Choryang Ibakgil 168-step monorail.
Ibagu Stop and 168 Battle Trip




Before climbing up the mountainside road halfway up Choryang Ibagu-gil, there is Ibagu stop where you can take a short rest. There is a cafe called 168 Battle Trip here, an outdoor rest area, and a small staircase shop halfway up that sells mixed coffee.

Located just below the 168 steps, this restaurant serves lunch boxes that bring back memories. You can eat the nostalgic lunch boxes that used to have pink sausages and fried eggs with rice. The prices are reasonable, so if you're hungry, try it out.
168-step monorail


This 2016-step monorail was established in 168 for the convenience of Busan residents and tourists and can be used by anyone for free.
The monorail can accommodate up to 8 people and has a length of 60m. From the monorail, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Busan Port and the mountainside road. In the middle of the 168 steps, there is the Kim Minbu Observatory and the Toy Museum.

The lower monorail station is on the second floor and has an elevator for people with disabilities, and right next to the upper station is an observation deck with a view of Busan Port.


If you go up the slope a little further from here, you will come to the Ibagu Workshop, which displays and allows visitors to experience items that give a glimpse into the lives of people living on the mountainside road, as well as the tourist information center and the Skyway Observatory, which is equipped with binoculars.
You can take a stroll back in time and see the scenery around the old Busan Station, which developed around the station.
