Yeonghwa Halmetchi

Yeonghwa Halmetchi

Yeonghwai Village, located a five-minute drive from Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in Gijang-gun, Busan, is famous for its fresh seafood and abalone porridge. If you go further into the village, past the several raw fish restaurants, you will find Yeonghwa Halmaejip on your left.

The restaurant's signature dish is the Abalone Seafood Course, which includes a variety of seafood, abalone porridge, and grilled abalone, all of which are popular in Gijang Yeonghwai Village. The price is 30,000 won per person.

Abalone Seafood Course

Turban shells, hermit crabs, sea cucumbers, octopus, abalone sashimi, shrimp, shells, worms, octopus, and more...

The abalone seafood course includes abalone porridge, but if you order abalone porridge separately, it comes in three different types depending on the amount of abalone. I always order just the basic abalone porridge, which also contains plenty of abalone. You can have more side dishes at the self-service bar.

Abalone Porridge

The sweet and sour ripe kakuteki and pickled radish go really well with the fragrant porridge! As you can tell from the color, this is an abalone innards dish that is full of abalone innards. The abalone innards have no fishy smell at all and have a really rich and deep flavor.
