Hello everyone. Before COVID-19, Arirang Street in the International Market was always bustling with tourists, but now the number of tourists visiting has dropped sharply and vacant storefronts are becoming more and more noticeable. Here, you will find a curry specialty store run by Ken-chan, who is from Kyoto, Japan.
Originally located in Gukje Market, Kenchan Curry is the second store that opened just three years ago, with the main store located about a five-minute walk from Jungang Station on Busan Subway Line 3. 2 years ago, the owner, who loves the port city of Busan, opened a Japanese-style curry restaurant in Jungang-dong near the pier, and it is now frequented by many Busan locals as well as Japanese tourists visiting Busan.

Kenchan Curry's second store is located on the second floor of a colorful signboard in the center of Arirang Street in International Market with the name of Kenchan Curry written in large letters in both Korean and Japanese.
The restaurant, where NHK broadcasts from Japan are broadcast, is entirely filled with tables and Kenchan Curry regulars dining there.
This is Ken-chan from Kyoto, Japan, who makes a variety of delicious curries.
