Busan SightseeingBeomil-dong / Jwacheon-dong

The Beomil-dong area stretches from Seomyeon Station on the Busan subway to the second Beomil Station in the direction of Nampo-dong.

Around Beomil Station, there are shopping areas such as Hyundai Department Store, Jewelry Street lined with precious metal wholesalers, Busanjin Market, Peace Market, and Free Market, which handle clothes, shoes, hats, and miscellaneous goods.

Until the 1960s, the Chosun Textile Company and the intercity bus terminal were located here, making it the economic center of Busan. It's a street that still exudes a downtown vibe, with a concentration of Korean-style karaoke bars, restaurants, wholesale markets, and bars. It's also home to the International Hotel, where the film "Friend," starring Jang Dong-gun, portraying the passionate friendship between Busan men, was filmed, and Munhyeon-dong Gopchang Alley, which still retains the 1970s atmosphere of the port city of Busan.

In addition, there is Jaseongdae Park in Waeseong, which is used as a resting place for Busan citizens, and there is a Joseon Tongsinsa History Hall that reflects on the achievements of Joseon Tongsinsa, who was in charge of cultural exchanges between Korea and Japan since the XNUMXth century.
