Haeundae Beach is visited by many beachgoers from all over the country in the summer, and is home to the SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium, which can be enjoyed all year round. Since it opened in 2001, many people have been visiting to enjoy the ocean world that unfolds here. The aquarium is located underground, so it is hard to tell from the outside, but it is the largest aquarium in Korea, covering a total area of 4000 square meters. Let's take a look inside the ocean world right away.

First, buy a ticket at the ground level entrance. Then take the escalator down to the basement. The souvenir corner is on the first basement floor, and the aquarium facility starts on the second basement floor, so go down to the second basement floor. You can go in directly, but if you want to hear more detailed information, you can rent headphones (audio guide) that allow you to hear explanations in Japanese. Leave your ID at the information desk and rent them for 1 won. When you leave, return your ID on the first basement floor and they will return it to you.

Underground 2 floor
In addition to tropical fish, you can also observe the ecology of penguins, otters, and sharks, which are popular with children. And best of all, there is a touch pool where you can touch marine life directly. There is also an 80m underwater tunnel that gives you the illusion of being in the sea.

Underground 3 floor
Here you can experience the deep sea world. There is a large aquarium weighing 3500 tons, and you can see many fish swimming around.

Underground 1 floor
This is where the Ocean World ends. There is a souvenir corner and fast food here. And for those who want to enjoy a little more besides the aquarium, there is an amusement facility. It is the first "3D Rider" in Japan, where the chair moves in sync with the images, making you feel like you are actually experiencing it. You can enjoy a powerful experience with 3D images (three-dimensional images) that seem to jump out of the screen and three-dimensional sound.

You can also enjoy feeding the otters, penguins, sharks, and other animals, as well as divers diving into a large aquarium and putting on various performances.
