A dried food market that preserves the atmosphere of the old port city of Busan
Located right next to Nampo Station on Busan Subway Line 1, at the eastern end of Jagalchi Market is the Dried Fish Wholesale Market.

This is Busan's representative wholesale market specializing in dried fish, including dried sardines, dried fish, squid, octopus, seaweed, wakame seaweed, and kelp, with around 200 stores. Most of the dried kelp and wakame seaweed sold in Busan markets are produced in Gijang, and are of high quality, thick, and cheaper than in Japan, making them ideal souvenirs.

In addition, many of the shops are Japanese-style buildings built over 100 years ago during the Japanese colonial period, and the area is often used as a location for TV dramas and movies. It is also known as the location for the Korean hit movie "Friends of Friends" starring Cha Dong-gun.
At the back of Nampo-dong Wholesale Market, there are rows of shops selling herbal medicines such as jujubes and ginseng. Just walking around this wholesale market will make you feel like you've traveled back in time.
