Torsopatchi / Stone-grilled rice restaurant

Hello, Dolsotpatchik, a representative long-established restaurant that has been operating for over 40 years in an alley of the International Market in Nampo-dong, Busan, is, as its name suggests, a specialty restaurant for "stone pot rice." You can enjoy piping hot stone pot rice, namul for bibimbap, and even jjigae all at once, making it a popular restaurant loved by both locals and tourists for its excellent cost performance.

The wooden tables inside the restaurant have indentations left over years from hot stone pots being placed on them, giving it a nostalgic atmosphere that is characteristic of a long-established establishment.

Stone-grilled doenjang jjigae and stone-grilled sundubu jjigae

The menu consists of only two items: stone pot sundubu jjigae and stone pot doenjang jjigae, both priced at 9,000 won. The stone pot sundubu jjigae features soft sundubu stew and a comforting flavor with a refreshing texture. The stone pot doenjang jjigae has a seafood broth base with ingredients such as blue crab, resulting in a light and hearty soup.

When you order, a large bowl is brought out filled with namul (Korean side dishes) for bibimbap, such as daikon radish salad, tuna namul, and wakame seaweed stems. Freshly cooked rice from a stone pot is then placed in this bowl.

Add the gochujang provided on the table to your liking, mix quickly, and enjoy with the stew. Remove the rice, pour water into the empty stone pot, and by the time you finish your meal, you'll have a fragrant, crispy rice crust soup.

Since it's a small restaurant with only about 6-7 tables, there may be a short wait during peak times (lunch and dinner).
