Located in the center of Busan, this urban park spreads out on top of a small hill.
Yongdusan Park, which spreads out on top of a small hill in the center of Busan, is a popular place of relaxation for the elderly. Near the peak stands the 118m-tall Busan Tower and a bronze statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin (1545-1598). At the entrance to the park, a large flower clock and a large Citizen's Bell Tower, built with donations from Busan citizens, welcome visitors.

From the Busan Tower Observatory, where you can see Tsushima Island in Japan on a clear day, you can get a panoramic view of Busan Port and the cityscape of the port city of Busan, including the Busan International Passenger Terminal, the gateway to the sea. At night, the night view of Busan is also a very beautiful place.

Admiral Yi Sun-sin was a general who played an active role in the Bunroku-Keicho Invasion of Korea in 1592. He is still celebrated today as a hero who saved the Republic of Korea. His bronze statue in the park stands facing the Tsushima Strait.
Right in front of Busan Tower there is a shop and a rest area where you can relax.

The Yongdusan Park area has become one of Busan's most popular tourist destinations, bustling with foreign tourists. The area was also home to the Choryang Wakan (Japanese Village), which was in charge of trade and diplomacy from 1678 to 1878, and has served as the base for exchanges between Japan and Korea since the Joseon Dynasty.

After the end of the Pacific War in 1945 and the Korean War from 1950 to 1953, almost no buildings or atmosphere reminiscent of the past remain. However, while you're sightseeing in Busan, why not climb the 120-meter-tall Busan Tower, which offers views of Japan's Tsushima island, and enjoy the scenery of Busan, a city with a deep history of exchange between Japan and Korea?
Yongdusan Park is within walking distance of the all-purpose Gukje Market and the Jagalchi Fisheries Market.
