The National Maritime Museum, which opened in July 2012, is located right next to Yeongdo International Cruise Terminal, where luxury cruise ships visiting Busan arrive.

The museum's exterior has a unique inverted triangular design based on the motif of the sea and drops of water, and the first to fourth floors are occupied by permanent exhibition rooms with an ocean theme.

There are more than 1 rare domestic and foreign artifacts and exhibits related to the history, science, and industry of the sea, including a large Korean envoy ship that has been restored to half its original size. There is also a corner where you can interact with underwater creatures, a marine library, a souvenir corner, a XNUMXD movie theater, and a tunnel-shaped aquarium where you can feel as if you are underwater.

On the rooftop of the museum is a park called Sky Park, where you can view the sea. You can enjoy the magnificent view of Busan's ocean, Busan Port, and Oryukdo Islands through the telescopes installed on the rooftop.

The National Maritime Museum is located on the road to Daejongdae in Yeongdo, but there are few city buses that go directly to the museum, so it is also a good idea to use the Busan City Tour Bus from Busan Station!
