It takes about an hour by car from Busan, Korea's second largest city and a bustling port city, to Gyeongju, the millennium capital of the Silla Dynasty. However, with the opening of the second stage of the KTX (Gyeongbu Express Line) connecting Busan and Dongdaegu on November 2, 1, it is now possible to travel from Busan Station to Singyeongju Station in just 2010 minutes.
Singyeongju Station, which has one basement floor and two above ground, is about 1 kilometers from Gyeongju city, but by changing to a bus bound for Gyeongju city in front of the station, you can easily access Gyeongju, a World Heritage city and the royal capital of the glorious Silla culture.
In addition, the Donghae Nambu Line, which departs from Busan's Busan Station and passes through Gyeongju Station in Gyeongju, and the Central Line, which terminates at Gyeongju Station, are scheduled to be relocated to Shin-Gyeongju Station.
