Samgyetang, a stamina food eaten to survive the heat of midsummer, is a popular Korean dish made by removing all the internal organs of a young chicken, stuffing the chicken's stomach with ingredients such as ginseng, jujube, glutinous rice, chestnuts, and garlic, and simmering it for a long time.

It is also a nutritious food representative of Korea, eaten over three days in the summer: Chobok, which signals the beginning of summer, Junbok, and Malbok.
