A blend of ancient charm and modernity! Take a fascinating stroll along Gyeongju Hwangridangil Trail and find some great souvenirs.
Gyeongju Hwangnidang-gil, located next to Gyeongju Daereungwon (Cheonmachong), is the youngest road in Gyeongju and its name combines Hwangnam-dong and Itaewon Gyeongnidang-gil, meaning "Gyeongnidang-gil in Hwangnam-dong."

It refers to the area around Hwangnam-dong and Sajeong-dong on both sides of the road starting from Naenam Junction, where large ancient Silla tombs are concentrated, to Hwangnam Elementary School Junction. Old buildings from the 1960s and 70s have been preserved, giving the area a taste of the past.

It started attracting young people a few years ago, and there are now cozy cafes, cute accessory shops, souvenir shops, and unique restaurants. In the early days, shops were lined up along the road, but as the outer perimeter of Hwangridan-gil has expanded, unique shops are opening one after another in each alley.
It has become an essential course for any trip to Gyeongju, and as it also allows you to visit the nearby tourist attractions of Cheomseongdae and Daereungwon, it is gaining in popularity as a famous attraction in Gyeongju.
