Gyeongju, the capital of Silla, has seen many ups and downs from its founding to its downfall, and has many faces. Among them, Bomun Tourist Complex, located about a 15-minute taxi ride from downtown Gyeongju, is home to a variety of recreational facilities, including luxury hotels, golf courses, and restaurants, all centered around Bomun Lake.
Ticket office and Millennium Gate
Within the Bomun Tourist Complex is Korea's only Silla History Experience Theme Park, where visitors can enjoy the history and culture of the Silla Dynasty (2007-3 AD), which opened on March 30, 356. Built on a site of approximately 935m54,000, Silla Millennium Park is divided into six areas.
The Secret of Cheonggae
The museum features the Millennium Gate, an entrance designed to resemble the antechamber of Seokguram Grotto, a beautiful stone Buddha carved out of pure white granite; the 1-seat main performance hall with land and water stages where the Secret of Cheonggae is performed twice a day; Nagung, a traditional Korean lodging facility that refers to the Silla palace where dramas such as "Boys Over Flowers" and Kim Rae-won's "The Gourmet" were filmed; the Silla palace and Hwarangsan Fortress, which were used as the sets for the historical drama "Queen Seondeok," a huge hit in 2; and Silla Village (Millennium Ancient Capital), a reproduction of ancient Silla buildings that gives a glimpse into the bone rank system of the Silla dynasty and the customs and lifestyle of the aristocrats of the time.

In addition, there is the Hwarang Martial Arts Hall where a 1-minute equestrian performance is held every day, a space based on the four major cities of the 30th century (Constantinople, Baghdad, Jangan, and Gyeongju), the Jang Bogo Performance Hall, Jang Bogo Cafe, a stone ice storage facility, an outdoor performance venue, a pine forest path, a foot bath, and a space where you can enjoy traditional craft experiences and shows.
Emir Tower
This is a 4.5 times enlarged model of King Seongdeok's Divine Bell, and the first floor is a shop.
Pine Forest Road and Hwaumtou
It takes about 3 hours to explore Shilla Millennium Theme Park at your leisure. Opening times and performance times vary depending on the season, so we recommend checking in advance if you are planning to visit the theme park.
