Busan Commodore Hotel

A traditional Korean hotel built on a hill overlooking Busan Port

Commodore Hotel, which opened in 1979 and is located on a hill just a 10-minute walk from Busan Station, was built in the traditional Korean architectural style. Its castle-like exterior is instantly eye-catching and extremely popular with foreign tourists. The name of this building is said to represent the image of a strong admiral leading a fleet, symbolizing the hero Yi Sun-sin, who was the commander of the fleet during the Joseon Dynasty and defended the maritime city of Busan.

Not only the exterior but also the interior of the hotel has a wonderful design, making it feel like a hotel, a museum, a theme park...and at times even like you've entered a castle.

The hotel has a total of 314 rooms on the 3rd to 14th floors, and while the standard rooms are a little small, they have a warm feel with their calm interior and Korean-style furniture. If you go up one level to a deluxe room, they are generally larger and offer views of Busan Port. Each room has a slightly different interior, even the bed covers and curtains, so you can enjoy a slightly different atmosphere no matter how many times you stay. All rooms also have internet access. You will need to bring your laptop, but it is convenient to be able to leisurely surf the internet in your room to check travel information, emails, tomorrow's weather, news, and more. The hotel is popular for its traditional exterior, but of course the facilities and services within the hotel are also first-rate.

The hotel is fully equipped with a bar lounge, wedding hall, nightclub, pool, gym, and restaurant, allowing you to spend a meaningful time whether you are staying for a short or long period of time. Of course, there are staff who can speak Japanese, so you can use the hotel with peace of mind.

Because of this, there are many repeat customers. From the hotel, it is a short taxi ride to Busan Port International Passenger Terminal, Yongdusan Park, Nampo-dong, which is famous for Gukje Market and Jagalchi Market, making it convenient for shopping and sightseeing.
