KoreaChangwon City (Jinhae/Masan)

Changwon City, located near Busan, borders Gimhae City to the east, Haman County to the west, and Miryang City to the north. In 2010, Changwon City, Masan City, and Jinhae City were merged to form New Changwon City. Changwon City is Korea's first planned city, and the north side of Changwon-daero, which runs straight through the center of the city, is a residential area, and the south side is an industrial complex.

Jinhae-gu is a military port that flourished as a naval base for the former Japanese military. Since then, the rows of cherry trees planted not only at the naval base but throughout Jinhae have become a symbol of Jinhae. During the Jinhae Naval Port Festival, held every year from April 4st to 1th, the naval base, famous for its old, thick rows of cherry trees, is temporarily opened to the public, and visitors from all over the country flock to the festival to enjoy the cherry blossoms.

Jinhae is also famous as a filming location for TV dramas such as MBS drama "Romance," SBS drama "On Air," KBS drama "Spring Waltz," and SBS drama "Snow in August." Many fans from Japan visit Jinhae to enjoy cherry blossom viewing.
