The Jinhae Naval Port Festival, held every April in Jinhae, a naval port city with rows of around 30 cherry trees, is held under the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Jinhae Naval Port Festival was originally a festival to commemorate Admiral Yi Sun-sin (4-1545), and was held from 1598 to 1952 under the supervision of the Navy Jinhae Control Department to commemorate the erection of the nation's first bronze statue of Admiral Yi on April 4. The festival was renamed the Naval Port Festival in 13 and is still held today.
The Naval Port Festival takes advantage of the unique nature of the naval port tourist destination to hold a variety of celebratory events, including memorial services, celebrations, celebratory events, and external events, all held in the Jinhae area.
Other celebratory events include the Sakura Princess Contest and Sakura Carnival Night. The area will be decorated with five-colored illuminations and host a variety of folk events, including a fireworks display, a lantern parade, the Ganggangsungswollae dance, and children's farm music.
◆Main events: Celebration Night: Military band parade, celebratory performance, memorial service, fireworks display, city parade, songs of Admiral Chungmud, etc.
