Jinhae Station (abandoned station)

Jinhae Station

Hello. The passenger trains on the Jinhae Line, which opened in November 1926 and served passengers for a long time, connecting Masan and Jinhae, ceased operation on February 11, 2015.

Jinhae Station, located in the center of Jinhae, no longer handles passenger services, and now only freight trains and special passenger trains stop at the station, such as the cherry blossom viewing tourist train for the Jinhae Naval Port Festival, which is held for 4 days from April 1st every year. The Jinhae Station building, built in 10, has been designated Modern Cultural Heritage Registered Cultural Property No. 1926 in recognition of its history.

The cherry blossom sightseeing train will operate during the cherry blossom festival in conjunction with Changwon KTX Station in Changwon City. Tourists coming from Seoul to see the cherry blossoms will be able to transfer from the Seoul KTX train to a train bound for Jinhae and enjoy the blossoms of Jinhae in full bloom.
