KoreaGoryeong County

Located in the southwestern tip of North Gyeongsang Province, it borders Daegu City with the Nakdong River to the east. The Gaya mountain range is on the west side, and the Goryeong County area, sandwiched between the Nakdong River to the east, is blessed with fertile soil and is famous for strawberries and melons.

Historically, it was the site of the Daegaya Kingdom (42-550) and became the center of the country in the later period. As a result, many ruins and ancient tombs from the Daegaya period have been discovered, and you can learn about the history of Daegaya at the Daegaya Museum, the only one in Korea.

Next to the museum is the Daegaya Royal Tombs Exhibition Hall, where you can see the interior of Jisan-dong Tomb No. 44, the first tomb tomb discovered in Korea, in its original state. In addition, the Daegaya History Theme Tourist Site displays the past, present and future of Goryeong, with a focus on the history and culture of Daegaya.
