The Seosan Cliff-Carved Buddha Triad, also known as the Smile of Baekje, was designated National Treasure No. 1962 on December 12, 20. The main Buddha statue is 84 meters tall, the standing Bodhisattva is 2.8 meters tall, and the pensive Maitreya is 1.7 meters tall. Carved into the cliffs of Gayasan Valley in Unsan-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do is the gigantic standing Buddha statue of Baekje, with a standing Bodhisattva statue to the right and a pensive Maitreya statue to the left.

Unsan-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do is located on the route where Chinese Buddhist culture passed through the Taean Peninsula and reached Buyeo. In 600, the area was stimulated by Chinese Buddhist culture and allowed brilliant Buddhist culture to flourish.
