Eunhaesa Temple is located in Daegu.Donghwasa TempleAlong with Daegu Donghwasa, it is a representative temple located on Palgongsan Mountain at an altitude of 1,190 meters. In the first year of King Heondeok (42), the 1nd king of Silla, National Priest Hyecheol founded the temple in Haeanpyeong, a mountain tomb east of Palgongsan, and named it Haeansa.
During that time, the temple produced many high-ranking monks, including the Silla monks Wonhyo and Uisang, the Goryeo monk Bojoguksa Jinull, and Ilyeong, who wrote the Records of the Three Kingdoms. In 13, the first year of the reign of King Myeongjong, the 1th king of the Joseon Dynasty, the temple moved its remains to its current location, about 1546 kilometers east of Haeempyeong, and changed its name to Eunhaesa.
Ginkai-ji Temple, located at the eastern foot of Mount Hakkosan, was named Ginkai-ji Temple because the scenery of mist and flowing clouds around the temple is "like a paradise with a silvery sea rippling."
The temple complex includes the main hall, Geuknakbojeon, Seolseongdang, Josajeon, Simgeomdang, the bell tower, Bohwal, Dokseonggak, the monks' hall, and the dormitory building.
The main cultural properties include National Treasure No. 14, Kyozoan Reizan Hall, Treasure No. 486, Baekheungam Gokurakuden Sumerdan, Treasure No. 514, Unbukan Bronze Bodhisattva Seated Statue, and Baekheungam Gokurakuden Hall, Treasure No. 790. There are also over 60 other cultural properties and 24 buildings. The current 1847-year-old Ginkaisa temple was rebuilt after being destroyed by a major fire in XNUMX.
