Hello. The Jangkobong Tomb in Bangsan-ri, Haenam, is the southernmost of the keyhole-shaped tombs scattered along the coast of Jeollanam-do, South Korea. It is approximately 76 meters long and 10 meters high, and is said to be the largest keyhole-shaped tomb discovered in South Korea to date.
This ancient tomb is built on the low hills of Mt. Seongma, with the square area where rituals were held on the north side and the circular area with the burial facilities on the south side. Looking down from the top of the tomb, you can see the sea in the distance. It is also located closest to Japan, making it an important resource for research into ancient Korean and Japanese history.
