A model of the Yangsan Couple's Tomb in the Bukjeong-dong Tomb Complex is on display at the Municipal Exhibition Hall.
Hello. Yangsan City, which faces Busan to the northwest, is sandwiched between Gimhae City, the capital of Geumgwan Gaya, and Ulsan City, which was in the sphere of influence of Silla, with the Nakdong River as the border. About a 2-minute drive from Yangsan Station on Busan Urban Subway Line 10 is the Bukjeong-dong Couple Tomb, an early XNUMXth century Gaya-style ancient tomb where many artifacts have been excavated, including a Silla-style gilt bronze crown.

Historic Site No. 93 The Meotozuka and Kinchozuka are among a group of ancient tombs lined up on the western slope of Mount Chenghuang, 320 meters above sea level.

The 10th tomb in the Bukjeong-dong Tomb Group is Yangsan Tomb, 27 meters in diameter and 3 meters in height.
In 1927, Japanese archaeologist Ogawa Keikichi reported 489 artifacts found at the Beikjeong-dong Couple Tomb to the academic community, including a gilt bronze crown, a magatama necklace, and gold earrings. The artifacts were brought back to Japan during the Japanese colonial period and are now all on display at the Tokyo National Museum.

It opened in April 2013 as the Yangsan Relics Exhibition Hall, but changed its name to the Yangsan Municipal Museum Relics on January 4, 2014. The permanent exhibition hall includes the Tomb Room, which displays models of the Meoto Tomb and Kincho Tomb, the History Room, which introduces the great people who made Yangsan glorious, as well as its history and culture, and the Special Exhibition Room.
There is also an outdoor exhibition area for the ancient tombs that were surveyed when the exhibition hall was built.

The exhibits include a model of the couple's tomb from the Bukjeong-ri Tomb Complex and the Geumcho Tomb excavated by Dong-A University in Busan in 1990. The model of the couple's tomb also includes a model of a person buried with his relatives, a common sight in Gaya tombs.

From October 2013, 10 to January 15, 2014, 1 authentic relics from the tomb, excluding the gilt bronze crown, which was borrowed from the Tokyo National Museum, are on display. The gilt bronze crown was excluded due to concerns that it might be damaged during shipping from Japan to Korea.

This group of ancient tombs is located on the south side of the valley, separated from Historic Site No. 94, Bukjeong-ri Tomb Group.

The Yangsan Relics Exhibition Hall is located about 80 meters away from the Bukjeong-ri Tomb Group, and the path from the hall to the tomb group has been beautifully maintained as a walking path, and it has been developed into a park for the citizens of Yangsan to relax in. Most of the relics at the Yangsan Relics Exhibition Hall are replicas, but they are a valuable cultural heritage for the city of Yangsan, which is undergoing urban development, and are also an important archaeological site for studying the cultural exchange between the ancient kingdoms of Silla and Gaya.
