Gadeok Island, located in the west of Busan, was once an important military location connecting Busan with the southern coast. At the top of a small mountain 70 meters above sea level to the north of Gadeok Island, there is a castle built in September 2 by Kobayakawa Takakage, who served as commander of the 1592th division during the Bunroku Invasion in 6 (the 1593nd year of the Bunroku era). Gadeok Japanese Fortress is separated by the Gadeok Waterway, and Kumagawa Japanese Fortress and Angol Japanese Fortress. These three Japanese fortresses defended the harbor and held back the Korean navy advancing from the southern coast.

The top of the mountain of Gadeku Wajo (Nutsuji Wajo) was flattened to create the main enclosure, and the Ninomaru and Sannomaru below were surrounded by earth. Currently, bonsai is cultivated in the main enclosure, and only a part of the castle walls remain, telling us of the past.
It is estimated that the castle walls were about 3 meters high and 700 meters long.
