Iljumun Gate (Sanmon) of Woljeongsa Temple, Odaesan National Park

Located in a valley on the southeast side of Odaesan National Park at an altitude of 1,563 meters in the northern part of Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, Woljeongsa Temple was founded in 643 during the reign of Queen Seondeok of Silla. A cedar forest path rich in nature stretches for about one kilometer from the Iljumun Gate to the main hall, and passing through this you will come to Cheonwangmun Gate. Entering the temple grounds, in front of the main hall, Jakgwangjeon Hall, is National Treasure No. 48, a nine-story octagonal stone pagoda made during the Goryeo Dynasty. The nearby Seongbo Museum displays important Buddhist cultural assets, including the stone seated bodhisattva statue (Yakwang Bodhisattva Statue), Treasure No. 139 from the Goryeo Dynasty.
