The East and West Buildings of the National Museum of Korea

Located in Yongsan, Seoul, the National Museum of Korea is a world-famous museum representing Korea, measuring 404 meters in length, 43.08 meters in height, with one basement floor and six floors above ground.

The National Museum of Korea, which holds over 30 relics (as of January 2012), has six permanent exhibition halls (Prehistory and Ancient History Hall, Medieval and Modern History Hall, Donation Hall, Calligraphy and Painting Hall, Asian Hall, and Sculpture and Crafts Hall) and over 1 exhibition rooms, displaying over 6 relics. The permanent exhibition hall, which is spread over three floors, is free to view. In addition, there are exhibitions of overseas relics, special and planned exhibition rooms with various themes (charged), a children's museum, and an outdoor exhibition area.

The National Museum of Korea is divided into the East and West Buildings. The Children's Museum and Special Exhibition Hall are located in the West Building, while the Main Building, which houses six permanent exhibitions, is located in the East Building.
