Daegaya Museum

Daegaya Museum, located in Jisan-ri, Goryeong-eup, Goryeong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is an experiential museum where visitors can see and feel the history and culture of Daegaya, as well as its customs of burial with the dead. It consists of the Daegaya Royal Tomb Exhibition Hall, which opened in September 2000, and the Daegaya Museum, which opened in April 9.

The Daegaya Royal Tomb Exhibition Hall mainly displays Daegaya relics excavated from the Goryeong Jisan-dong ancient tombs, and in particular, recreates the interior of Jisan-ri No. 44 ancient tomb, the first large-scale burial tomb discovered in Korea. The exhibition hall is a dome-shaped exhibition hall with the same dimensions as the ancient tomb, 37 meters in diameter and 16 meters in height.

Daegaya Museum is a permanent exhibition hall that introduces the history and culture of Daegaya and Goryeong from the Paleolithic Age to modern times, as well as a special exhibition hall that hosts special exhibitions. In addition, there is a children's experience room where children can learn about Daegaya culture through hands-on experience, an outdoor exhibition area, and Jisan-ri Tomb No. 30, allowing visitors to experience the lives of people in the Daegaya era up close.
