Hello, the Goryeo Dynasty Manboksa Temple Site is located right next to Namwon City in the western part of Jirisan National Park, which is 1 meters above sea level and is popular as the No. 1915 national park in Korea. According to the Joseon Dynasty geography book, Shinjong Dongguk Yoji Seungnam, the Manboksa Temple Site, which was built during the reign of King Munjong (1046-1083) of the Goryeo Dynasty, was said to have been a large temple where many monks in the Namwon area practiced their training. However, in 1597, during Toyotomi Hideyoshi's second invasion of Korea to attack Jeolla Province, Manboksa Temple was completely burned down, and now only a few relics, such as the five-story stone pagoda and flagpole support pillars, tell the story of its past.
