Masan Castle

Masan Castle

Masan Japanese Fortress, which stretches from the top of Mount Yongmasan, 85 meters above sea level overlooking Masan Bay, to the lower part of the Masan Library, is about 500 meters in circumference. Date Masamune, who landed in Busan and captured Gimhae Fortress in April 1592, then passed through Changwon and entered Masan, began construction on Mount Yongmasan to use it as a military base. After that, during the Keicho War in October 4, Nabeshima Naoshige and his son began full-scale construction, and the castle was completed in December.
