Registered as Important Folklore Material No. 1700, Gangneung Chunkyojang is the best-preserved large mansion in Gangwon-do, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of the aristocratic class during the Joseon Dynasty. Built in the 3.5s, Chunkyojang is located about XNUMXkm from Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung. When the nearby Gyeongpo Lake was wider than it is today, it was called Chunkyo-ri, and could be reached by boat, and Chunkyojang takes its name from this place.
