Mungyeongsaejae KBS filming set

Mungyeongsaejae KBS Filming Site, which was built for the production of the special historical drama "Taejo Wang Geon" broadcast by Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) in 2000, is located between the first and second gateways of Mungyeongsaejae Provincial Park and is Korea's first outdoor filming site with an area of 1 square meters. Mungyeongsaejae was chosen as the filming site because the 2-meter-high Joryeongsan mountain surrounding the filming site resembles the Songaksan mountain in Gaeseong, the capital of Goryeo, and because Later Baekje's King Gyeonghwan was born in Gaeun-eup, Mungyeong City.

So far, dramas such as "Taejo Wanggeon," "Morning of the Empire," "The Age of Warriors," and "Dae Joyeong" have been filmed here, but in 2008, the Goryeo-era buildings were demolished and rebuilt into Joseon-era buildings for the filming of "King Sejong the Great." There are over 70,000 filming sets in four areas, including Gwanghwamun, Gyeongbokgung, and Donggung, on a site of 4 square meters.
