Hapcheon Visual Theme Park

Hapcheon Cinema Theme Park was built as a battle set in downtown Pyongyang, North Korea for the movie "Brotherhood" starring Jang Dong-gun and Won Bin. It was the biggest hit in Korean movie history in 2004, and many movie fans began to visit the park.

So, Hapcheon-gun opened in 2004 as a movie theme park for the full-scale shooting of movies, TV dramas, and commercials. The park covers an area of ​​about 7 square meters and includes a recreation of downtown Pyongyang, where steam locomotives and tanks used in movies and TV dramas are displayed, as well as a street with trains running through it, the Government General of Korea and the Military Police building, Gyeongseong Station, Peninsula Hotel, Severance Hospital, Pagoda Theater, a bookstore, a barber shop, and a coffee shop, just like downtown Gyeongseong (Seoul) did during the Japanese colonial period in the 5,000s and 1930s. A street in Sogong-dong, Seoul from the 1940s to 1960s was also recreated.

Also, most of the battle scenes and the scenery and architecture of Seoul in the 70s to 1930s were shot here, including the MBC foundation special drama "East of Eden," the first work that Korean star Song Seung-heon starred in after completing his military service, "Gyeongseong Scandal," "Seoul 60," "Fashion XNUMX's," and "My Way." Hapcheon Cine Theme Park, which has gained popularity as a filming location for movies and dramas, is a tourist attraction that attracts a constant stream of Japanese fans as well as Korean tourists.
