Suncheon Bay, located in the southern part of Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province, is a representative wetland that has developed on the southern coast of Korea. The reed beds and the turtle colonies on the tidal flats, along with the S-shaped waterway, create a beautiful coastal landscape that is a scenic spot. Suncheon Bay, one of the world's top five coastal wetlands, was registered as a Ramsar wetland under the International Wetlands Convention in 5, among the coastal wetlands of Korea.
