Regular taxi fare to be 500 won, transfer discounts to be implemented

Starting October 10th, Busan will become the first city in the country to implement transfer discounts for regular taxis.

Busan city announced on the 30th that it will implement a taxi transfer discount, offering a 500 won discount to passengers who transfer to a regular taxi within 24 minutes after using public transportation such as a bus or subway.

For the time being, the plan is to apply the scheme only to passengers using prepaid transportation cards this year, but from next year, the government will actively consider expanding the scheme to include deferred-paid transportation cards as well.
