World Heritage Site, Goryeong Jisan-dong Tombs (free time)


The largest group of ancient tombs in Gaya, with over 200 large and small tombs built during the Daegaya period!
Just below the Goryeong Jisan-dong Tomb Group is the Daegaya Royal Tombs Exhibition Hall, and after touring the exhibition hall, we will take a leisurely walk along the mountain trail to visit Tomb No. 44, which has been confirmed as the largest burial tomb for those who died with their loved ones in the burial of a dead person in Korea. In 2023, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Gaya Tombs.


Daegaya Royal Tomb Exhibition Hall and Daegaya Museum


The Daegaya Royal Tombs Exhibition Hall is located at the beginning of the walking trail to the Jisan-dong Tomb Group!
The Daegaya Royal Tombs Exhibition Hall is a reproduction of the Daegaya period tomb, Jisan-dong Tomb No. 44, where the dead were buried with the dead. It gives a good insight into the burial culture of that period.


Hapcheon Okjeon Tomb Complex, Hapcheon Museum


The mysterious ancient nation of Tarakaya The Hapcheon Okjeon Tomb Complex is the tomb of the Gaya rulers, and contains almost all of the relics found in the tombs of the highest chieftains. It is valued as an extremely valuable resource that shows the essence of not only Gaya culture, but also Korean tomb culture, with its dragon and phoenix ring-head sword, iron armor, gilt bronze helmet, and iron horse helmet.


Haman Maluisan Tomb Group (free time), Haman Museum, Maluisan Tomb Exhibition Hall


We will visit Aragaya in Haman County, the site of early Gaya, which served as the center of the Gaya countries around the 4th century.
Behind the Haman County Office is the Maeisan Tomb Group (Historic Site No. 2.1), which stretches 0.5 km north to south and 525 km east to west and is home to many ancient tombs belonging to the royal family and aristocracy of Aragaya. Various relics excavated from the tombs, such as Aragaya fireworks-patterned cups and horse armor, are on display at the Haman Museum, located right next to the tombs, and the Maeisan Tomb Exhibition Hall features a replica of the same-sized pit-style stone chamber from Tomb No. 4 of the Maeisan Tomb Group.
